Parent & Family Orientation

Parent & Family Orientation

Welcome to the UB family! We know that this is an exciting time for your student and for you and that you must have numerous questions and concerns. Knowing where to turn when help is needed is important.

At UB, we view our relationship with you and your student as a three-way partnership encompassing students, families, and the university. Through this partnership, we seek to create the optimal support system for every student. Our partnership will begin at Parent & Family Orientation where you will gain helpful information to support your student, especially during the critical first year.

During each First-year and Transfer Student Orientation, there is a corresponding Parent & Family Orientation.

Why come to Parent & Family Orientation?

As a parent or family member of a new student, you play a vital role in your student's transition to the University at Buffalo.
