Misplaced UBIT Name and Password

If you have misplaced your UBIT Name, email address, and initial password you must request help from the Computing and Information (CIT) Help Desk. In order to assist you, they will need to receive from you:

  • Request from you including your name and identifying yourself as a new entering UB student (undergraduate freshman or transferring student)
  • Copy of Government-issued picture ID with name and date of birth
  • Telephone number where you can be reached

The request, telephone contact information, and ID can be provided in a few ways:

  • Fax a copy of the request and supporting information to 716-645-3617
  • Email a request with a scanned copy of the ID to cit-helpdesk@buffalo.edu
  • In person show the ID to the CIT Help Desk staff at 214 Lockwood Library, 2nd Floor Cybrary

Help desk hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Passwords will be reset after receipt of the appropriate information. If you have questions, contact the New Student Computing Help Line at: 1-800-354-2658, cit-helpdesk@buffalo.edu.
